East 10th Street serves as the Near Eastside’s “Main Street”. A Business and Economic Development committee is being developed with a goal of making the East 10th Street corridor an attractive and vibrant entrance into the Near Eastside from downtown Indianapolis through revitalized mixed-use areas including a new “Legacy Square” that will serve as a civic, cultural, and economic gathering place for the entire Near Eastside. Business and Economic Development Committee co-chairs include:

  • Patrick Dooley – former Director of the Indianapolis International Airport, current Vice President of Airport Development for Ft. Wayne-Allen County Airport Authority; resident of Woodruff Place
  • Bill Taft – Executive Director, Local Initiatives Support Corporation
