The Indianapolis 2012 Host Committee is proud to announce a partnership with Keep Indianapolis Beautiful to raise awareness and inspire tree planting in Indiana. Our goal is to maximize the impact and excitement surrounding the Near Eastside Legacy Project by launching a tree planting initiative culminating in the year of the Super Bowl by planting 2012 trees by 2012. The Host Committee website, OUR2012SB.com will have information on how you can get involved with this project and be a part of Super Bowl XLVI history. Currently we have 174 trees planted, so there is a lot of opportunity to be involved so keep checking the website and see when you can join us in making this Super Bowl Super Green.

Dates: There are five planting cycles between now and the 2012 Super Bowl; Fall '09, Spring '10, Fall '10, Spring '11 and Fall '11. When we have more exact dates we will post them here so keep on checking and get ready to get involved! However, we plan on planting the last tree on the Arsenal Tech campus, the location of the new practice facility that will be used by the NFC team in 2012. This will happen in October of 2011 and be part of the celebration of Tech's 100 year anniversary.
